Senior Specialist Automation Architect

As a Senior Architect you will define, develop and help deliver Accelya s technology roadmap. With a focus on automation, orchestration and transparency - it is the role of Accelya s IT Transformation team to bring Accelya to the forefront of infrastructure development.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Define and develop standards for infrastructure automation, management and reporting.
• Develop cross-platform automation and orchestration frameworks - to draw Accelya s internal IT infrastructure together.
• Help deliver the One Accelya vision for IT infrastructure.
• Help Accelya adopt a shift-left mentality to security in infrastructure development.
• Design and implement modern, automated, instrumented infrastructure - with a focus towards implementing infrastructure as code where possible.
• Work with the wider Accelya IT team to develop their understanding and skills - particularly in modern and emerging technologies.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Proven background in a lead automation role in a mature IT organisation.

Knowledge of automation, orchestration and configuration tooling such as;

• Terraform
• CloudFormation
• Ansible
• Puppet/Salt/Chef/DSC

• Experience of an environment diverse in operating systems, middleware and database platforms.
• Previous experience or knowledge of VMC on AWS, AWS and on-prem infrastructure
• Knowledge and experience covering large-scale data centre migration - on-prem to cloud transformation.
• Experience in IT infrastructure mergers.
