Role Summary:

As a QA Engineer, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality software by conducting thorough manual testing across various platforms, including mobile, web, API, and integration testing. You will play a key role in identifying bugs, verifying code functionality, and ensuring that all technical and functional requirements are met. Collaborating with the development team, youll create and execute test plans, write detailed test cases, and contribute to both manual (80%) and automation testing (20%) efforts. By maintaining testing documentation and ensuring the smooth execution of test processes, you will help drive the success of our digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing across mobile, web, and API-based applications to ensure product quality.
• Analyse technical requirements and evaluate written code to verify alignment with project specifications.
• Perform database, integration, and API testing using tools like Postman.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Develop and execute detailed test cases to detect bugs, performance issues, and usability flaws.
• Participate in test planning meetings and collaborate with the development and testing teams to improve processes.
• Manage defect tracking using defect management tools and ensure all identified issues are properly documented.
• Provide feedback on test strategies and contribute to quality assurance strategies for phased testing.
• Contribute to automation efforts, running test scripts in CI/CD pipelines using Java Rest Assured (optional).
• Ensure thorough regression testing for each release to guarantee a bug-free software experience.
• Actively engage in post-release testing and support to identify and resolve potential production issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing, including API, mobile, web-based application, and integration testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and integration testing.
• Knowledge of test planning, documentation (RTM, test cases, test plans), and reporting.
• Experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
• (Preferred) Basic understanding of automation testing tools and frameworks (Java, Rest Assured).
