Manager - Industrial Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Engineer to lead and optimize our manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity across our operations. This role involves overseeing a team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring that the highest standards of production, quality, and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization: Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, develop more efficient workflows, and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce production time.
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Project Management: Lead engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Capacity Planning: Oversee production capacity planning to ensure optimal use of resources and alignment with production demands.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Develop strategies to reduce manufacturing costs through efficiency improvements, material usage optimization, and process standardization.
• Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement new technologies, equipment, and software solutions to enhance automation and improve manufacturing performance.
• Workforce Efficiency: Collaborate with human resources and operations teams to design ergonomic and safe working environments, and recommend improvements to labor utilization.
• Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and industrial engineering tools (e.g., time-motion studies, statistical analysis) to assess and improve production metrics and KPIs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and meet production goals.
• Compliance: Ensure that all engineering practices comply with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial engineering or process optimization.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement innovative solutions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience in capacity planning, cost analysis, and production process improvement.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
