Measuring and mapping land features, conducting site surveys, and assisting with the layout of construction projects. The role requires proficiency in survey instruments and an understanding of construction plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct land surveys to determine boundaries, topography, and other land features using appropriate surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanning).
Perform field data collection and analyze survey data for accuracy.
Prepare and review detailed survey reports, maps, drawings, and other documents.
Establish and mark property boundaries and construction points based on legal and physical descriptions.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure survey data aligns with project requirements.
Maintain survey equipment, calibrating tools and instruments as needed for accurate measurements.
Ensure that all surveys comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety and quality standards.
Conduct boundary and topographical surveys for various types of projects, including construction, land development, and infrastructure planning.
Interpret legal descriptions of properties and land titles to resolve disputes or clarify boundaries.
Provide technical support and advice to the project management team regarding land measurement and property-related concerns.
Manage and maintain survey files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible.
Assist in the preparation of land subdivision plans, zoning applications, and environmental reports as necessary.
