Job Description: Major Incident Manager

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Major Incident Manager to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our 24x7x365 mission-critical environment. This is a rotational shift role, requiring exceptional communication skills, technical expertise in incident, problem, and change management, and a solid understanding of business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Major Incident Management: Lead and coordinate resolution efforts for critical incidents, ensuring minimal impact to business operations.
  • Problem & Change Management: Analyze incident trends to prevent recurrence and manage the lifecycle of changes to improve system reliability.
  • Communication Excellence: Act as a central point of contact during incidents, providing timely updates to stakeholders, escalating where required, and facilitating post-incident reviews.
  • BCP/DR Understanding: Assist in maintaining and testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure organizational resilience.
  • 24x7 Operations: Work in a rotational shift schedule to support 24x7x365 operations, maintaining availability and response within SLA.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and swift resolution of issues.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in major incident management in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
  • Proven expertise in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Strong understanding of BCP (Business Continuity Planning) and DR (Disaster Recovery).
  • ITIL Certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a 24x7 mission-critical function is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities in high-pressure scenarios.
