OSI PI Developer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Compact OSI PI Developer to design, develop, and optimize solutions using the OSIsoft PI System. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in system integration, data analytics, and process automation, with hands-on expertise in OSI PI tools and components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain OSI PI-based solutions to meet business needs.
• Configure and optimize OSI PI components, including PI Server, PI AF (Asset Framework), PI Vision, and PI Data Archive.
• Integrate OSI PI with third-party systems, including SCADA, DCS, ERP, and other data sources.
• Design and develop custom data visualizations, reports, and dashboards in PI Vision or other visualization tools.
• Implement data collection strategies using PI Interfaces, PI Connectors, and PI UFL.
• Monitor and troubleshoot PI System performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and system workflows.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and OSIsoft technology advancements.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience with the OSIsoft PI System, including development and configuration.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, process control systems, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or VBScript.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of APIs (e.g., REST, PI Web API) for system integration.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and integrating PI with cloud-based analytics tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and standards (e.g., ISA-95).
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in industrial environments.
• Certifications in OSIsoft PI System or related technologies.
