Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking tools, such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to learn and grow in the field of quality assurance and software testing.
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure functionality meets specifications.
- Develop and execute test cases and test scripts based on project requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, investigate, and resolve software defects.
- Document and track defects using bug-tracking tools, such as Jira or Trello.
- Participate in team meetings to provide status updates on testing progress and discuss any issues or concerns.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test suites, and testing documentation.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying areas for automation, efficiency gains, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
