About the Role:
- An Associate Consultant role at 9.9 Education places you at the forefront of building and transforming higher education institutions.
- In this role, you will work on multiple higher education projects, working across marketing, admissions, and overall institutional strategy.
- You will take ownership of critical project areas -
- Act as the link between client leadership and project teams
- Manage diverse stakeholder priorities
- Resolve bottlenecks to fulfill deliverables on time
- The role also requires you to represent client institutions in external engagements while driving measurable outcomes across multiple workstreams.
Typical Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop strategies for marketing, admissions, and outreach that align with client objectives
- Design financial and operational plans to meet institutional goals within available resources
- Prepare institution-wide strategies for new institutions, addressing governance, academics, partnerships, etc.
- Stakeholder and Team Management
- Manage an internal team, client teams, and agency partner teams to fulfill project deliverables
- Coordinate with client leadership and external partners to align on priorities and deliverables
- Represent client institutions in engagements with agencies and vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Execution and Problem-Solving
- Oversee the delivery of marketing campaigns, admissions processes, outreach initiatives, and allied workstreams across multiple clients
- Prepare and deliver major client deliverables, including high-quality presentations and detailed project reports
- Contribute to business development by developing proposals for prospective clients
- Travel to client sites may be required
The Ideal Candidate:
You are a good fit for the role if you:
- Have 4-6 years of experience in consulting, marketing, and/or admissions, with a proven ability to manage multiple higher education projects simultaneously
- Have a demonstrated ability to build relationships across levels within client organizations
- Have excellent verbal and written business communication skills
- Have the ability to create well-formatted documents and presentations that are engaging and easy to read
- Can translate data into actionable insights and develop strategies that deliver measurable outcomes
- Have strong Excel skills, are comfortable with educational software, and have an understanding of marketing tools
- Can conduct basic quantitative analysis and understand a P&L statement
- Are agile, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments
