Application Developer- Python/Django

Overview of Role:

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer, to join our specialist team to work on our Data Ingestion, geospatial, and engineering products and projects. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Flask/Django. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Python, REST Architecture, and experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, MS SQL and MySQL.

If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills, experience in this field and ready to learn new skills like PySpark, SparkSQL & Databricks then wed like to hear from you.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Python and Flask.
• Design, implement, and manage RESTful APIs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for database interactions.
• Utilize Git for version control and collaboration.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues in the application.
• Analyse and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality deliverables.
• Take ownership and lead by example.
• Participate and contribute to Application Design and Data Modelling

Preferred candidate profile

• 2-4 years of experience in Python
• Good Python Programming skills
• 1-3 years of experience in Flask.
• 1-3 years of experience writing SQL queries to perform database operations
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL/MS SQL/MySQL databases
• Experience with Git.
• Experience in RESTful API development.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Good understanding of SSO/OAuth protocols and their implementation in secure and scalable web applications
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile Software development model
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Excellent communication skills MUST be able to communicate effectively and clearly with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
• Quick learner who can adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with Django.
• Knowledge of the Data Analytics domain.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Linux Administration
• Good understanding of ReactJS and other JS Libraries
