3i Infotech - Oracle Database Administrator (3-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Perform day-to-day database administration tasks, including user management, security administration, schema management, and performance monitoring.

- Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c databases on both Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.

- Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data availability and recoverability.

- Administer Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.

- Install, configure, and tune Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) databases.

- Manage Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), including installation, configuration, and administration.

- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies to optimize database performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance problems, connectivity issues, and data corruption.

- Implement and maintain database monitoring tools and scripts to proactively identify and address potential issues.

- Experience with batch job monitoring is preferred.

- Participate in database migration projects, including storage and server migrations.

- Interact with third-party vendors for support, including raising Technical Assistance Requests (TARs) and working with OS vendors.

- Interact with clients to understand their database needs and provide technical support.

- Mentor, manage, and lead a team of L1 DBAs.

- Demonstrate good knowledge of ITIL processes.

- Be willing to work in a 24x7 support environment and participate in shared database support projects.

- Define, recommend, and maintain database standards and documentation.

- Manage future releases for databases and instances, including impact analysis.

- Utilize Automatic Workload Repository (AWR), Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM), and SQL Tuning Advisor (SQLT) to analyze database performance and suggest improvements.

Technical Skills :

- Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, and 19c).

- Experience with database migration, installation, upgrades, and patching.

- Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery concepts.

- Strong knowledge of Data Guard administration.

- Strong operations focus on Oracle RAC databases.

- Oracle ASM installation, configuration, and administration.

- Knowledge of various database migration concepts.

- Knowledge/experience with 12c, HVR replication, Exadata, and Golden Gate is an added advantage.

- Experience with Oracle 12c Grid OEM for administration, monitoring, and performance analysis.

Certifications :

- Oracle Certified Professional 12c (OCP 12c) certification is essential.

- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Database Cloud knowledge/experience would be an added advantage
