Role : ASIC Engineer Firmware (Infrastructure Specialist)
We are seeking a skilled ASIC Firmware Engineer to architect, design, and develop firmware for next-generation ASIC platforms.
In this role, you will help define the firmware architecture and implementation strategies for our custom silicon solutions.
Youll be deeply involved in shaping the ASIC roadmap, from early concept and design to large-scale deployment in data centers.
Our team focuses on delivering high-performance boot firmware, low-level drivers, and RTOS-based platform firmware for cutting-edge data center silicon.
Success in this role requires solid embedded development experience and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including silicon architects, hardware engineers, OS developers, and systems teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and develop embedded firmware and tools for advanced data center chips.
- Lead development of embedded software components and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Design, implement, debug, and optimize firmware for a range of custom SoCs.
- Act as the go-to expert for complex firmware issues involving performance and system behavior.
- Contribute across all stages of SoC developmentrequirements definition, firmware architecture, simulation, FPGA validation, chip bring-up, and post-silicon support.
- Collaborate closely with silicon, hardware, OS, and algorithm teams to align on long-term product roadmaps.
- Implement key firmware functionalities including power management, boot processes, scheduling, and inter-processor communication across Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal environments.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware development using C, with a focus on debugging, testing, and performance tuning.
- Solid experience with BootROM, bootloaders, and secure boot processes.
- Proven background in platform firmware for complex SoCs.
- Deep understanding of embedded hardware systems, including clock domains, interrupt handling, and low-level debugging techniques.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with RTOS environments (especially Zephyr) and embedded Linux.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for tooling and automation.
- Track record of leading complex features or cross-team projects to delivery.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers for low-level system debugging.
- Strong understanding of SoC subsystems and hands-on experience with board bring-up.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complete end-to-end firmware solutions.
