Job Opening: Chief Distribution Officer (CDO)

Location: Kolkata

Our client, a private company registered at Registrar of Companies, Kolkata, is seeking a Chief Distribution Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ecommerce, currently working in mid-management level with familiarity in Zepto, Blinkit, Bigbasket, Instamart, or Flipkart. A strong educational background from a renowned B School is required, and candidates should be comfortable with the Kolkata location. This opportunity is open to candidates within 36 years of age from the ecommerce industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop distribution strategies for entering new markets, identifying distributors, and coordinating with the field team to acquire distributors.
• Ensure successful new product launches and work with the product team to build a supply chain for client servicing.
• Plan revenue, forecast, and analyze performance to ensure revenue goals are met.
• Specify systems requirements and investments to support revenue streams.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, delivery timeline, transport costs, and efficiency.
• Resolve problems or complaints related to customer/distributor operations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.
• Manage quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities.
• Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations and coordinate support throughout the business.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ecommerce with Zepto, Blinkit, Bigbasket, Instamart, or Flipkart.
• Strong educational background from a renowned B School.
• Comfortable with Kolkata location.

• Age within 36 years.
