Role Overview :

As a Hands-On Engineering Manager at 2070 Health, you will lead a team of engineers while actively contributing to development efforts.

You will balance technical leadership, people management, and hands-on coding to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about mentoring engineers, driving team performance, and solving complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership :

- Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions.

- Actively participate in coding and code reviews, ensuring clean and efficient code.

- Provide technical direction and make key architecture decisions.

- Solve challenging technical problems and deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Team Management :

- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers.

- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development sessions.

- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

- Support engineers by removing roadblocks and optimizing workflows.

Project Execution :

- Plan, prioritize, and manage technical projects and deliverables.

- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to align on goals and requirements.

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

- Drive agile practices such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

- Participate in technical roadmapping and strategic planning discussions.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.

- Hands-on experience coding in languages like Python,Ruby, JavaScript, or Go.

- Strong understanding of software design, architecture, and best practices.

- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

- Experience with agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Preferred :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.
