Implementing CI/CD pipelines involves setting up automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
Branching and merging in our organization follows a Git flow strategy, where feature branches are created for new development work and merged back into the main branch after code review.
Working on Jenkins pipelines includes defining stages, steps, and triggers for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications.
We use declarative pipelines in Jenkins to define the entire build/test/deploy process in a Jenkinsfile, which is stored in the project's repository.
Checks for deployments include automated testing (unit tests, integration tests), code quality checks (linting, static code analysis), security scans, and manual approval gates before promoting code to production.
