Food includes anything that is edible and provides nutrients, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. Beverages encompass liquids like water, juices, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and alcoholic drinks. These are fundamental aspects of human life, as they fulfill our nutritional needs and contribute to our cultural, social, and economic activities. They are also central to various traditions, celebrations, and rituals around the world. Additionally, the food and beverage industry is a major global economic sector, encompassing agriculture, processing, distribution, and hospitality. It plays a significant role in job creation and economic development.

i choose food and beverage as my career option because f&b department is a very dynamic department and it offer lots of job positions, and it also offers the opportunity to interact with guest from diverse background. Also during my industrial training I worked in all four core department but I felt the most comfortable only while working in F&B department.
