C++ is platform dependent while java is platform independent.
C++ supports multiple inheritance , operator overloading and pointers.. while java don not support multiple inheritance nor operator overloading and nor you can use pointers in java programing.. but java supports pointers internally.
C++ have call by reference and call by value.. but in java u can only use call by value.
C++ supporta structures and union. But java dont.
C++ use compiler only but java use compiler and interpreter .
