Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I was approached by the company for this role. The HR interviewed me over the phone and asked me about the expected salary. On mentioning my expected salary, she was rude and mocked me saying no one would give me that amount. ( PS: Expected salary was as per the industry standards and many companies offer the amount.) On saying that I wasn't comfortable with their offer, she did not stop and kept pestering with questions like: what have you done to deserve that amount. There is no way anyone would pay it to you. HR is supposed to help employees; not demean them. It was a very bad experience. I was open to negotiation, but we never reached the point where she let me say anything. Why would anyone want to work for a company where the HR makes them feel undeserving. Such experiences give a bad name to the company.
