Different types of joins in SQL are inner join, left join, right join, and full outer join.
Inner join: Returns rows when there is at least one match in both tables.
Left join: Returns all rows from the left table and the matched rows from the right table.
Right join: Returns all rows from the right table and the matched rows from the left table.
Full outer join: Returns rows when there is a match in one of the tables.

SELECT may return duplicate rows, while SELECT DISTINCT eliminates duplicates
