Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Aptitude test
Experience: Test was conducted online and it contained objective questions (MCQs).

Aptitude consisted of 6 sections:

--Personality based (60 questions)

--Quants (10 questions)

--Verbal (10 questions) + Essay writing

--Analytical (15 questions)

--Technical (10 questions): It includes database, data structures, C++

--Coding (2 questions)


Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: Coding question was related to mathematics e.g. Mean, Median, Variance, etc.
Tips: Know your resume very well.

? During the first interview, most of the candidates were asked about DBMS. So be prepared for it.

? Keep your OOP concepts well placed.

? During HR, think before you speak, they can catch any word that you speak.

? Prepare well for aptitude, as they shortlist less people after the test.

? Ask good questions at the end of the interviews if they give you an opportunity. It might impress them. So prepare for it before going for the interview.

  • Q7. Asked some questions about networks relating IP addresses of websites
  • Q8. Where are the servers of common websites located?
  • Q9. How do you think Gmail works?
  • Q10. Give me a step by step procedure of how will you download an attachment from an email. What are the differences between C and C++?
  • Q11. (Stopped me at Operator Overloading) Can you write a program demonstrating Operator overloading?
  • Q12. (I’ve used overloaded constructers in my program) What is function overloading?
  • Q13. Write a program for Fibonacci series using recursion.
  • Q14. (I wrote a program that returns nth Fibonacci number) Where does the program prints? (I said it returns the output, does not print it.)
  • Q15. Okay then, write a program printing all the Fibonacci numbers till n. (I wrote an iterative one this time.)

Round: Test
Experience: No. of people who appeared for the test = 56

(Please mention the domains that the test was based on, number of questions asked, amount of 

time provided for the test, whichever questions you remember, and whatever you thought you 

did wrong)

Test was conducted online and it contained objective questions (MCQs).

Aptitude consisted of 3 sections:

1. Analytical ability (30 questions 35 minutes)

-Basic logic questions with some questions of Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

2. Coding ability (10 questions 20 minutes)

-Consisted of questions relating ‘what this program does’, find output, etc. (included 

concepts of binary tree depth, AVL trees, etc.)

3. Advanced Computer Skills (30 questions 40 minutes)

-Consisted of DBMS (Normalization), OS, Data Structures, etc. (More questions on 

DBMS)

No. of people shortlisted after the aptitude test = 14 (9 Comps and 5 I.T.)

Round: Technical Interview
Experience:  Tell me about yourself

Experience: ROUND 2: (HR round)

No. of people who gave this round = 8 (4 Comps. and 4 I.T.)

This interview lasted for around 1 hour.

Questions asked:

 Tell me about yourself.

 Why SAP?

 What are your Strengths?

 What are your weaknesses? How would you overcome it?

 Why should we hire you?

 Where do you want to see yourself in 5 years from now?

 What do you mean by innovation? (Lasted really long, but he pushed me to get towards the answer. Around 15mins.)

 You have written outstanding communication skills. How would you prove it?

 (Gave a scenario) A customer is really angry upon you for a product which you sold him. 

How would you convince the customer?

General Tips: (Do tell us what you felt you could have done better, and whatever you feel would help someoneIn preparing for the company and getting the job. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME AND FILLTHIS SECTION PROPERLY.) Know your resume very well. During the first interview, most of the candidates were asked about DBMS. So beprepared for it. Keep your OOP concepts well placed. During HR, think before you speak, they can catch any word that you speak. Prepare well for aptitude, as they shortlist less people after the test. Ask good questions during the end of the interviews. It might impress them. So preparefor it before going for the interview. Lastly, don’t be nervous, HRs are only trying to make you nervous during the interviewas a part of the stress test.
