Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The questions were mostly related to Biotechnology and questions were asked about my projects. Questions related
to pharmaceuticals and modern biopharma scenario were good and challenging. Some basic questions related to basic physics and mathematics like square root of 0.9 etc were asked. It was overall a good experience and I think the selection process was just and fair.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: These questions were pretty simple and was like "tell me about yourself " etc.

General Tips: I think juniors should be thorough with biopharmaceuticals, the related terminologies and the modern Indian scenario. Besides one should know about ones project thoroughly.I wish all my juniors BEST OF LUCK.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: There was no aptitude test taken by this organization. Direct shortlisting was done on the basis of CGPA cutoff. For the pleasant astonishment of Biotechnology students, the cutoff for them was less as compared to that for others!
Apparently they had requirement of Biotechnology students for their healthcare vertical. It was a mixed bag of questions but focused more on knowledge in core section. The questions asked to people depended on how one projected oneself in front of the interviewer. For those who showed more interest in business were asked questions on stock markets, economics and other related stuff. I presented myself as a student interested in Biotechnology and thus maximum question posed to me were from this domain. They discussed my project work (on Stem Cell), paper presentation (on Tuberculosis detection) and current business news in Biotechnology. Many questions related to pharmaceutical biotechnology were asked such as different methods of drug action and difference between strategy to design drug for viral and bacterial disease. The interview lasted for some 30-35 minutes.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was a typical HR interview and lasted for not more than 10 minutes. They asked questions on my family background, schooling, hobbies etc. Like in most of the HR interviews, I was asked to market myself as to what are
the various credentials and qualities that I possess. This opportunity wasn't a very difficult one to crack. I remained cool and just faced the things as they came. I enjoyed interview because I was tested on something which I have been studying for past 3 years. I was actually surprised at the standard of questions asked. The interviewer although not from Life Sciences back ground displayed an excellent knowledge in questions she asked and the discussion that followed. Successful interview was the crux of selection process rest all was just formality.

General Tips: I would recommend following suggestions:
1. We should never neglect our core studies even if company is from management background. It creates a
negative impression if they find that even after studying in a particular field for more than 3 years we don't have sound knowledge and interest in it.
2.There is a fine shade of difference between confidence and arrogance. We should make sure that we wear the right shade for interview.
3. Interview is a two way process. It is not very difficult to take interview on our desired course for our benefit. It should be more of interactive session rather than just questionaire.
4. It is very important that we close the interview in a correct and positive manner. We should thank the interviewer for his/her time and should interact with him/her in case we have any doubts. This creates a good last moment impression which can have positive impact on your marking once you leave the room

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There was no written test.Short listing was done on the basis of CGPA. They kept min. CGPA as 7.9 for all branches
except Civil and Biotechnology. For civil min. CG was 8.5 and no cut off for Biotech. There were 2 rounds of interviews. In first round the interviewer asked me about my branch, the subjects and what I like. Seeing my interest he then asked why did i want to join a financial company instead of a core one. Then few questions about iron and aluminium. One question was to explain the torque and which material has greater torque iron or Al.Then he asked me some thing different that I have done in campus. In second round the first question was tell me about yourself. Why do you want to join a financial company after engineering. What is your dream company. What do you expect from the company. It was my first interview of my life.I was very nervous before the interview but the friendly behaviour of interviewer made me feel comfortable and far more confident. In both the rounds the interviewer were very supportive and friendly. It was a very nice experience of giving my first interview.

General Tips: The company mainly sees your communication skills and analytical abilities. Some smart answers will always help. For instance the answer to the question why finance after engineering can be crafted as: with the duration of engineering course I have not only learnt my subjects but have developed analytical thinking and flair for research which I think makes me suitable for any job,be it finance.Make them feel that you want to join financial sector. On dream company question never take the name of any company. Tell them you want to work in a company which gives ample opportunities to its employees to learn and develop.Good luck to you all

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: A few questions on civil engineering concepts were asked. They concentrated on structures and water resources. The questions were very basic and tests common sense in civil engineering. They asked my favorite subject. Asked a lot of questions on that - operations research, systems engineering, etc. Questions always ended with a financial/management touch. Interview lasted for 30 minutes and was very cool. They stressed me about opting for higher studies.I had to convince them that my German internship will no way influence me to go for higher studies abroad.
I could say that the interview was just to test my confidence and speaking skills. The whole process was very simple. This was my first interview. I made sure that my confidence is kept stable at every instant.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: This lasted for not more than 5 minutes unlike the other students for whom it took 15-20 minutes. Questions on
family, myself, strengths, weakness. That's all! I was given a chance to ask if I had any doubts. I made use of the chance.

General Tips: Apply if and only if you are interested in finance/management sector. This could be a good startup for those who want to go to that sector. Speak well, exhibit your confidence. Be ready with a favorite topic in your discipline.
