Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Quantitative questions are based on simple math learnt in tenth class like algebra, profit&loss, probability, simple interest etc ,reasoning requires some time but can be done if u have enough practice. Verbal questions are easy too, simple questions are framed on prepositions, sentence completion, fill in the blanks with the correct word etc.For students who take cat coaching aptitude paper would be very easy to crack.
Duration: 120 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The GD was among 15 members. No interruption on part of the moderator. I started off the discussion and gave my initial views. Then asked others to contribute. Mainly only 4 or 5 guys spoke exclusively well. Others were given a chance to express themselves but didn't make much of an impact. I also wrapped up the discussion. Finally about 5 guys from our group were shortlisted for the interviews. It is very essential for students to speak and express their views in GD,those who do not are usually ignored or asked to conclude and generally are not selected for further rounds.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Was asked about pointers, classes, structures and some basic programs in c++.The interviewer also asked me "what is a database","what is a networking",technical interview was also more or like hr interview but with bits and pieces of technical questions like the difference between C and C++ ,what is inheritance, what is polymorphism.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Hr interview was awesome as it dealt with a gamut of topics ranging from music to the no of girlfriends i had in the past. The standard questions were asked. Questions pertaining to your resume about your projects or trainings, achievements will be definitely asked. The HR may also ask you why accenture why not ms or cat. Some panels may ask about your strengths and weaknesses.

General Tips: Relax and converse well. Do not feel threatened in the Group discussion. Ease your way in. Ample amount of time to start off slow and then get involved. Tech interview and HR are very easy. If you've done extremely well in your GD, Tech might be looked aside.Cat coaching definitely helpsin cracking aptis. The companies mainly check your confidence and attitude when subjected to stress.Do not bulge to stress and the most important thing in an interview is DO NOT BLUFF or speak negative about yourself which affects your personality. If bluffing is inevitable bluff in a confident way, finally luck is the most important factor in placements.

Duration: 180 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: If you even express your opinion once and clearly you will get shortlisted..
Duration: 15 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Tech interview happened after the HR interview. The tech was a breath of fresh air I was absolutely comfortable throughout the interview. One should direct the interviewer towards your strength. I directed my interviewer towards management consulting which was my forte as I did my internship in KPMG. He was quiteimpressed and rest of the discussions were more personal rather than technical like why do u want to join accenture being a chemical engineer? and asked about the achievements and stuff.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interviewer asked about my hobbies. I said sports luckily the interviewer was also into sports so we had a nice discussion about the favourite sports player. They were just looking for good communication skills, which was again a cakewalk.

General Tips: Brush up C++ and OOP concepts and be aware of your core subjects because they will simply ask which was your favorite subject.
All the best.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The questions are pretty much the normally asked ones in GRE, CAT and similar exams inverbal while the quantitative part was much simpler. There was also a logical section with some small puzzles.
Duration: 120 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The GD was not very much formal and a lot depends on how much you are willing to take chances, much above the substance.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It is not precisely a technical interview and most questions were attitude based, and overlapped significantly with the HR round. However some basic questions about knowledge in C++ were also present.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was also not very much formal and the questions asked were mainly as why the candidate was interested in joining Accenture and not any other similar company and particularly for the non CSE candidates were aslo how would a candidate of a different background expect to fit in there.

General Tips: It is very much simple and not necessary to prepare much, focus is mainly on communication skills.
