Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Resume was asked for in the beginning of the selection procedure.

Round: Test
Experience: The written round had questions from logical aptitude, quantitative aptitude and verbal reasoning. Besides this there were also questions from my core field of study (accounts and economics).

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The topic for GD was the current education system of India. We talked about the various aspects of the education system as well as what can be done to improve the same. They were looking for confident candidates and those who can stand out in a crowd.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In the interview round they asked me questions from both core topics as well as HR questions.  In the HR questions they asked me about my long term and short term goals as well as why should they choose me?They asked me my work with AIESEC and questions like 1) How do you get VISA for students?2) Where do students from India stay? They asked about my internship with Videocon.1) What was the environment there?2) What did you learn there?3) Was it fruitful to you?Besides this they also asked us to write an email. The email was about vouching.
Tips: They were looking at the overall personality and communication skills of the candidate. So do work upon it.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The process for selection began with a written test. The test included questions from verbal reasoning, general knowledge, accountancy and aptitude. The level of difficulty was medium.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: In the GD the moderator gave us the liberty to choose the topic by ourselves. We came to a consensus to discuss about the ‘100% cut-off for SRCC’ which had recently become a hot topic of discussion nationwide. They were testing our communication skills and ability to hear and respond aptly to what others are saying.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In the interview round they asked me about myself, my views on relocation and working on weekends, frequent travelling and about my strengths and weaknesses. They also asked me about how extracurricular activities have helped me grow as a human being, who is my role model and who all are there in my family. They also asked me few accounting entries like contingent liabilities would come under what head.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Resume was asked for in the beginning of the Selection Procedure

Round: Test
Experience: The written test had questions from verbal ability, quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning. Besides this there were also some core field related questions related to my academics in college. The level of difficulty was a little on the higher side. They wanted people with ability to think logically.
Also as part of the written test we were asked to write an essay on the topic – “Your favorite travel destination”

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interview round began with quantitative case based questions. The first was a guesstimate case: How many people in India have smart phones?

The second case was: how many admission forms do you expect to be submitted in your college next year?

There was a long discussion about Google and its products. This was followed by a discussion on the working of Google Ad words.

I would advise people to know a lot more about Google rather just knowing about Google search, Gmail and Youtube. I would recommend you to know about other Google products which are not so famous but have very selected crowd who uses them.

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: 20 students were shortlisted on the basis of the resume.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interview was a mix of HR and technical interview.

The HR interview was based on simple HR questions – questions about me, my motivations in life. My strengths and weaknesses and work preferences. A major part of my interview focused on questions related to my internship.

In the technical round they asked me questions related to the bank reconciliation statement, effect of various entries on passbook and cashbook and questions related to contra entries.
Tips: My advice is that one should be prepared for any question about their resume. In case you have mentioned any subjects in your resume you should be prepared for the same.

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Resume was the key criteria in the selection procedure. All students were asked to submit their resume to the placement cell and on the basis of it 10 students were selected.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There was no written test and there was directly an interview round. In the interview they inquired about me and my family. They also inquired about my interests to which I replied politics. They were looking for a person who has views about different things happening in the society rather a person who remains in his/her shell.
