Round: Test Experience: 35 questions were asked most of which were based on data interpretation and analytics which did not require speedy math skill. On the whole the test was comparatively tough. Duration: 45 minutes
Round: Case Study Interview Experience: A scenario/case was given where the company had to expand to different countries(USA/Dubai/Africa) I had to choose thecountry and justify as to why I chose the country and also answer as to how I would go about doing it. It was not a stress interview.
Round: HR Interview Experience: Interview began with basic question also other basic science questions were asked, then theyasked me about my internships. Further guess estimate questions were asked, In all the questions there was no right answer they simply wanted to test as to how I tackled a problem.
Skill Tips: How much do you know about the company and how you can relate a question to the company. Being inquisitive in the interview helped. Preparations involved preparing for HR questions in advance,solving standard puzzles,being updated about daily affairs watching Victor Cheng videos(for consulting). Round: Resume Shortlist Experience: For Product management, I highlighted points in my resume. Sponsorship and PR core worked in my favour.
Round: Technical Interview Experience: It lasted for about 45 minutes. He basically tested my knowledge on product management. He asked my questions on marketing, growth, demographic penetration.
Round: Other Interview Experience: Second interview was basically a follow up, lasted for almost an hour. He tested me on my consistency and some guesstimates. Like estimate the number of mobile internet users of Quora (which was my favorite product/service) Tips: Knowledge wasn’t tested as such in any field. Important skill was estimation/prediction.
In the second interview, he followed up on questions from the first interview, so he tested me on my consistency. Consistency is very important!!
General Tips: Do's: If you have a project of your own that would work in your favor. Do many side projects.
Don't's: don't put gen start-ups. You will have to justify those
Practice Quant much earlier. It sets the base for the placement scene. Practice up. Other than that, keep doing the stuff your BC sends. I think that's sufficient. I think reading Economic Times might also help.
