Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Initial shortlist based on resume.
Tips: Work on your resume, get it checked and be prepared to answer questions about it.Be prepared on the courses and project works that you will mention in your resume.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Random topics like Diet, Hakuna Matata, Change the topic are given to groups
of five. It is an elimination process rather than a Selection Procedure.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: Selected students are grouped and given a LEGO kit and are asked to make
anything movable which they later have to sell to the other teams.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: A HR interview for about 30 minutes. The interview will solely be based on your resume
and your life in the institute and will include typical HR questions.
Tips: For the interview preparation be ready with answers for the HR questions beforehand.

General Tips: Preparation for CAT will be very helpful for the entire placement preparation.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Shortlisting done based on resume.
Tips: Create good resume highlighting projects and research work. Remain updated about the company's research work.

Round: Test
Experience: There are two written tests. One is based on C and algorithms.
Tips: Old Samsung tests that are available online.Knowledge of C is must.
Duration: 30 minutes

Round: Test
Experience: The second test is paper-based coding test.
Tips: Coding test is used to mainly gauge your logic applying abilities.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Interview
Experience: Personal Interview: one round lasting around 40 minutes.
 Interview questions were mostly straightforward, technical and based on projects and
research work mentioned in the resume.
 Previous day's code is also asked to explain.
 Couple of questions were about the company's on-going work. In-depth knowledge regarding courses related to the profile is necessary.
Tips: Revise courses, Project work. Additional reading is recommended.

Round: Interview
Experience: Technical round of interview based upon OR minor, marketing, analytical questions, puzzles and case studies. Graph theory and networking questions are also covered.
Tips: LAN material is helpful.

Round: Interview
Experience: HR questions will include all standard stuff. Anything from "tell me about yourself‟ to "why are you not apping?‟ are asked.

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: Initial short-listing was done based on the resume and it was followed by a test.


Round: Test
Experience: The test had questions focusing on Core topics :
Aerodynamics, propulsion, combustion, fluid mechanics, structures, manufacturing etc.
Tips: Focus on core topics like combustion, fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.
Duration: 60 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The technical round lasted 55 minutes.It had questions based on resume as well as problem tackling and
design related skills.
Tips: Be thorough about the work you have done as a part of projects or as interns.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In the HR round the participants were asked to prepare a presentation selling themselves to the company and also an expansion on the resume.It was for a duration of 25 minutes.
Tips: Prepare for the interviews by attending the mock sessions conducted by the institute.

 The interview had technical round and HR round with a panel of 5 interviewers
 The interview focused on the specific details the company had asked for

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: It was outsourced to some online venture.. Test was quite tough.. 
Tips: A good grasp on aptitude questions will help immensely.. There are many common aptitude questions which will be asked in most exams.. study them well.. be good with probability, permutations and combinations.. Should know the basic electronic circuits, KCL, KVL etc thoroughly..

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Technical Interview went well.. They asked only simple basic questions!
Tips: Study the following courses well- Digital systems, Digital IC Design, Computer architecture..Knowledge on steps of VLSI design flow and latest technologies will give you an extra edge in the interview 

Round: HR Interview
Experience: there were two rounds! Asked some convention HR questions. Also based on resume..
Tips: Be ready with answers to conventional HR questions like "Why do you want to join Intel?" , "Why should we hire you" etc. Make sure that your answers will let them know that you have done a good background study on the company(you SHOULD do that in advance!).. Be ready to explain each and every point in resume. Many time they were looking for non conventional answers.. Good preparation in advance helped me a lot!

General Tips: Be prepared.. In an interview what matters most is preparation not CGPA!

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I alotted around 3-4 days for Resume Preparation. This is very important step,especially for companies with Consultancy profile. I referred to some of my seniors resumes to get to know the format and the grammar used,especially framing of sentences.
Tips: Once your resume is prepared, don't forget to collect feedback about it from your seniors and even from some of your wing mates. Also, get to know about difference between resumes for core and non-core profiles

Round: Test
Experience: First Section was simple aptitude(20 Question),were very simple.Second Section was Programming(10 questions), were bit questions related to theory. Don't remember properly but few questions related to Binary tree were asked I guessThird section was Coding(1 question),it was simple. Question-Code a program which gives output as '1' when the number given as input can be expressed as "p^q"(where p,q are integers) and as '0' if otherwise.
Tips: Just,general CAT preparation is enough for aptitude.Regarding Coding, even knowing any 1 language is enough. Just practice few basic coding questions online and even sorting algorithms
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 31

Round: Interview
Experience: The HR interview was not easy, some of the questions were really unexpected. Such type of HR questions were not asked in any of previous HR interviews(of other companies) I attended to.
Tips: For most of the questions asked above, you can find answers from your P.O.R's(Position of Responsibilities) which you have done.Take HR round seriously and prepare for it before placements start(avoid last minute preparation).

Round: Interview
Experience: This was very comfortable, I connected very well with interviewer,especially when we were discussing about footbal as he was also a football enthusiast. I also prepared few things related to e-commerce which helped
Tips: Prepare and get to know about e-commerce field, general problems faced in it these days

Experience: Was easy
Tips: Just prepare properly about everything written in resume,mainly 3rd year intern and BTP or any other projects

General Tips: Just follow all the tips mentioned earlier,avoid last minute preparation, prepare well in advance. Don't lose hope or get depressed during placement period if you fail in your initial few interviews

Experience: A test consisting of 50 questions of which 30 were core questions and the other 20 wereaptitude ones. It had negative marking.The aptitude questions were similar to CAT questions but much easier.
Total Questions: 50

Round: Interview
Experience: One round of interview including a technical round.Technical questions were asked and a thorough knowledge of core was necessary.No separate HR round, but basic HR questions were asked.Questions on BTPs and relevant technical details were asked
Tips: Thorough core preparation on concentrated selected areas of turbo machines, Hydraulics, DOME is necessary.
