Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test was to estimate your aptitude and coding ability. It was not too tough. For aptitude, I prepared from CAT prep books and pariksha.co(which helped a lot). For coding, practice in hackerrank.com would help a lot. It is good to know the basics of Data Structures and Algorithms.
Tips: Practice coding and improve your speed in aptitude.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Around 40 people were shortlisted for GD. It happened in groups of 9. We were asked to choose a topic from given topics. Try to choose a topic which everyone could relate to. Initiate or conclude if you can, it will definitely get you some brownie points. Don't try to interrupt others but make sure the discussion was going in right direction.
Tips: Be confident and precise while you speak.
Duration: 15 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The first round of technical interview started with "Tell me about yourself". Then, I was asked to explain my technical projects and internships(coding related). Then they asked few puzzles and some questions on probability. If you have won any technical competitions, it would be a great plus point. Later I was asked if I have any questions for the interviewer. I asked them about the company's work culture and career growth. It is really important that you ask appropriate questions. Prepare them beforehand.
Tips: Practice Puzzels(Book: Heard on the street-quant and probability puzzels) and revise basics of probability(Bayes' theorem etc..)

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: I just prepared general aptitude from pariksha.co and basic programming ability from the book, "let us c" and "tutorials point-programming" which made me crack the test
Tips: Practice more to improve your speed in tests

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: They gave us three topics and have to choose one of them after some discussion: 1. Artificial intelligence-will man be ever replaced by machines, 2. Introduction of gadgets at an early age of education, 3. Is youth of India confident or confused.
I suggested the introduction of gadgets topic and convinced entire team to choose the topic. Then i initiated the talk and gave a conclusion statement; used some data division to explain my point in the discussion (though i'm not sure if my data is right or not i was confident throughout)
Tips: In any GD:
1. Try to be confident and initiate the GD
2. Try to speak in data oriented way if your profile is related to analytics or consultancy
3. Try to manage the flow of GD according to the defined structure

Round: Technical Interview
Tips: Be very confident in whatever you say

Round: Technical + HR Interview

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: They had shortlisted around 40 people to the Group discussion round from the test. The test consisted of basic aptitude,VA and some coding questions. They had given us 2 minutes to write down the points ans 20 minutes to go ahead with the group discussion. They looked for knoweldge, leadership nature and the clarity in our thoughts during the GD's. They didnot have any limit as to how many people they would select for the personal interview round. Some groups had 6-7 people who had proceeded to the further round whereas some didnot have any.
Tips: Keep yourself updated regarding all the current events. Carry a notebook and write down all the relevant and important points. Also preparing for CAT helps us in clearing the test

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: They asked questions related to coding and cases & guesstimates as well. They also just asked me some core and hypothetical questions to just gauge as to how I would react. They selected if the candidates knew either coding or was good in cases & guesstimates. I personally was not that great on coding.
Tips: Be confident. Practicing case studies and guesstimates would surely help if you are not interested in coding.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Genral HR round
Tips: Prepare for all standard HR questions. ( Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Why specifically AllState? Why should we hire you? Tell me about yourslef.)

Skills: Case Analysis, Guesstimation Cases, Coding Skills, Aptitude, Verbal Ability
