Job is secured. Decent compensation.In the path of system modernization. Great customer service, 99.9% transmission system availability. Excellent breakdown maintenance with quick restoration. Engineers working here are talented.

Dislikes

1. Site engineers are overloaded. 24x7 on the toe life for Sub-Station O&M engineers and testing engineers. 2. Site postings are rural in nature as most of the sub-Station s are located in rural areas. 3. No extra allowance or benifits for site people. 4. Slow promotion policy, stagnation after certain time.

Nothing to be liked in specific. You get lot of free time to do whatever you want as company is incapable of utilising people's worth.

Dislikes

No focus towards improvement of employee requirements and issues long faced. Typical govt organisation where you want to work or not your salary will get credited.

Likes

It has structured HR policy in terms of promotion. Salary and benefits are reasonably better than other state govt undertaking. Healthy relationship among peers. Training and Development cell provides plenty of learning opportunity. It has embarked on plenty of modernisation from traditional substations to Gas based substation to reduce cost and manpower.

1. Huge communication gap between Employees & HR 2. Maximum work rated to employees personal and official matter is done offline. So, an extra burden is there. 3. HR or management system is not so professional. 4. In Operation, type of job is fixed. So it'll be very boaring after some time. 5. OT allowance is restricted to a certain limit. Inspite of doing more than that limit in the interest of the company, an employee will not be paid. 6. Work culture is fully based on pen paper mode. Even Management do not response in e-mail.
