The manager/founder used to be an inpiring, friendly, approachable and highly knowledgeable guy in the beginning who used to guide the team properly. With time he has become eccentric with the audio/video recording camera installation, 3 break limit, half day by 1 second system. And no help or guidance anymore (which is the whole reason someone joins an internship: to learn)

Dislikes

It has a very authoritarian work culture. > Your full work day is turned to half day (half day pay as well) - if you fail to reply on discord within 30 minutes. - if you talk more than required in office. - if you submit the followup even 1 second before you complete your 8 hours at office. > There is a dedicated team that listens and watches you in the office, how long are you looking at the computer screen, what are you looking at, how many times you stood up from your seat, what you said to whom. And the people are fired, changed seats, given WFH based on that (rather than their work performance). Basically North Korea. > You're discouraged from taking colleague's help and even taking help from your superior (manager/senior engineer/founder, who is the only superior in this small company).

- When you join-in, within the 1st month you get a lot of resources to learn from which you go through and follow along. This is something that I have liked much as all of the resources contains a video tutorials to follow along. - The founder is inspiring, friendly and has deep industry experience. He guides everyone about how to do a particular thing along with a doubt matrix for everyone. Sometimes, people misuse this freedom and start asking everything from him. - Office is located near metro which is about 5 minutes walk away and also Office timings are flexible. - Flexible leave policies, if we are not allocated to any important project our leaves are generally improved without much hassle.

Dislikes

> Few of the people in the peer group does not like to work but still they are sometimes get hired. Some of them thing that everyone is here for helping them are they do not try to put hard work to research on something. > Sometimes a monitoring software is installed on the devices if the company found that you are not working as per expectations. Although, this is applied to a few candidates only. > We are required to maintain silence in the office environment. > Initially, a lot of people were interns in the office which does not know how to behave in the office environment. However, this is improving now.

Everything is a scam here. The company has 0 relevant products and rips you out of your ideas. No work life balance. You'll have to give up everything for literally nothing. Please don't join.

I observed a varied work culture that sometimes presented challenges due to inconsistent standards. Job security seemed uncertain, and unfortunately, the company didn't provide reference letter upon departure.

Likes

This is internship opened my eyes to the world of Software development as a whole. I learnt a lot in these few months. The work timing was great. I was given plenty of training assignments that helped me make my basics bulletproof. Lastly, and most importantly, my manager was an excellent mentor and an expert developer, he really brought out my interest in Blockchain development. Overall, I had a very nice experience working with W3 Dev Private Limited as an intern. PS: My monthly stipend was 5000/- (performance based)
