No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

1. They strictly follow hire and fire policy 2. No job security 3. MD will give you lecture about values hours together but it’ s only on paper and not in practice 4. Cheap internal politics 5. Candidates who prefer to work on Vandey payroll be really careful, they will say Isreal clients but you never know when they will shut down their operations and leave you guys jobless... I have seen many cases in my short time with them. 6. They hire only female candidates for the internal team, please don't work in a company where there is no diversity.

Nothing much to say, We were asked to provide positive feedback by the Management. Please notice the date all the feedback came in the Feb month. Don't go with any feedback. Nothing worth mentioning here. If your Boss likes you, you can become Manager from recruiter, Executive to Director. Don't ask me about the Management.

Everything. If you want to experience the worst., You can join the company. They will not have you for a longer period. Waste of time. End up learning nothing. Silly politics. No process no career growth.
