No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Nothing. it was a pathetic and also traumatic experience.

Dislikes

... a regular basis. A particular founder is exceptionally rude and unprofessional. They pay very little and say 'they are giving experience'. LOL. I even experienced sexist jokes here. Felt the company culture (if you can call it that) is pathetic and horrible. Hire you as a Project Manager and forces you to do cold calling. Then they say it is tough to get the PM designation. And was pay as per PM designation standards?!? LOL I would recommend everyone to be aware and stay miles away.

Pathetic organization and Management doesn't have a clear idea about technology and Project Management. They are altering manpower without paying compensations to the employees.
