Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It's a multi Career workplace to develop my SHE and Quality skills. The company has taken some of the initiatives like 1. Quarantine- 2 weeks on job/2 weeks off 2. Allocations of sanitiser dispensers 3. Issuing Masks and sanitisers to workers 4. No lock down so workers are paid in full 5. COVID-19 awarenesses 6. More informational signs at entry points

Dislikes

Late recognising skills, Innovative and best workers in some of the departments In favour of some few in competent workers due to friendships
