No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

I did not got whatever good amount i deserve, simply i wasted my potential. received 25k Per Month faced lot of heavy deductions every month. Some Stupid people are on Manager position, getting handsome packages, at my astonishment they even don't Know in what type of sales the company is into, or what is the right step to retain the client in the company. In this company the Managers knows only few things like to humiliate Sales person in short they force the sales person to think that we are superior, they pretend like they have given so many fruitful years to the co. they know each and every consultant and every contractor and further they are good into every thing. But in reality they are completely depend on sales person, i will say they are blind without sales person. Manager in this Co., will always expect Sales, good lead, good contacts, and bow and respect for them, if u fail in these they will plan a conspiracy and you will be out of the co. or they will create an environment where you will not feeling like working with them. Here Manager is only to take reports from sales person, and after long investigation they will forward the same to you with the reply please work on this, reason manager excel is very good, or i think first they have to learn the project sales work very deeply. JACK OF ALL, MASTER ON NONE. Here only jack is applied, and rest Master work is given to hard working employees. JOB HUNT. (Again on Naukri.Com) ADV 1. Sales Team is very supportive and cooperative (Collegues) 2. Engineering / Design Team, Outstanding always helpful. 3. HR. Good, cooperative (always helped in PF related issues, and of course supported when a new employee is landed in some fake created conspiracy by a manager who is favorite to boss. HR always tries to balance the work culture in office. 4. Boss is average supportive. (very much hard working). Appointed too many Inexperienced Managers to rule Highly experienced and professional sales team.
