No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

I am not at all happy with the attitude of the head nurse in the theatre.she is doing all the partialities..I was one of the best theatre nurse with all the speciality experience.but she didn't renew my contract last year.i work 10 years in theatre..she is happy with the Philippinos and other nationalities..as a indian if you are pleasing her you can stay there..I am very sad to say that I didn't do anything wrong or didn't had any complaints about me from others.all the colleagues were very good with me including the Imani staffs ..there is no job security in sultan Qaboos University hospital.. anything can happen in any time..i am thankful to the country for giving me good opportunity in past 10 years..but very sadly to say again about the attitude of head nurse..the nursing department doesn't know what is really happening in the departments..they believe that head nurses..
