Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?
I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?

Syntel did not provide good salary package and appraisal, if someone is trying their best but in return they will not receive positive approach or we can say positive response from seniors.

There is nothing much to like here, beside free snacks that they provide once between 12am to 6am & no rotational shifts in ASG vertical.

I won't recommend this company because in inhand salary there will be variable of Rs.2500/- which you get on monthly performance & TL is not willing to give you 5 stars every month even tough you perform well so you endup getting only 1500/- or 2000/-. Night allowance is also very low compared to other company. And cafeteria kitchen is not at all clean.

The best thing in Syntel is learning. You can get good chance to learn and enhance your knowledge and skills. Work environment is also good. A good platform for fresher.
