Why's salary still treated like a taboo?

We work 50+ hrs a week for money, yet the one thing we don’t talk about openly is… salary. Someone once told me, “If you talk about pay, HR will think you're difficult.” But shouldn't knowing your worth be basic, not rebellious? The location of the office is very well connected to all the parts of the city. The team work within the employees is the biggest asset of the company.

...the name of Directors of the company. Lack of Vision for better business growth. Growth is extremely slow with less than average compensation. Order execution activities always takes a hit due lack of proper planning by the management.
