There is nothing to like about this organisation/institute. Each and every person there is of pathetic nature and lack of knowledge and basic etiquettes.

Dislikes

Everything including their 3rd Class staff (esp. Establishment and Accounts staff) and below 3rd Class Scientists. I must say SAMEER (An autonomous institution under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India) has the pathetic Scientist I have ever seen in my life history. Dislikes

This review is based my dept. (Mumbai) Very slow R&D work. If you are planning to join as Research Scientist, think twice because most of the things are outsourced and you'll only doing testing work which doesn't add much your carrier. There is no such thing as HR. For leaves you have fill up forms like early 90s. No upskilling workshop or activities. Poor Project Management skills of seniors. Most of them don't know their field. If you are planning for GATE/Gov exam join this otherwise don't.

Only join If you can sustain pressure If you are self learner If you are multi tasker If you have long career gap If you have no job If you are 🦥 (yes still works in some departments) If you want show you potential to other hiring companies Medical bills will be reimbursed but it has limit

No allowances even on official duty No incentive for your work Hiring is very slow and you must do work of other staff in their capacity (once they left the organisation) No incentive even for overtime /working on off days

Here minimum will get 2 years contract based on work they will give extension.

This is the best place to learning specially for freshers lot of equipment available we can use that. Its research center who all are having good ideas that can be implemented here for that our senior also will help us to do

The research is cutting edge and a good place to learn essential skills involving very niche technology.

Being a government company it can be hard to deal with all the company politics. Because of current difference of management and science the atmosphere is very poor to conduct good research
