Present appraisal and promotion process is not transparent. Salary and benefits of old/long term employees are much lower than new entrants or present market. Slow career growth for old/long term employees.

Organization tried to retain junior level employees having lower salaries by reducing the salary of senior/ mid level employees from 10% to 25%. However, still some retrenchment are being done by staff reduction.

Dislikes

...n issue. This is not expected from a more than 150 years old construction giant. In addition to that, there is a huge salary difference between the old employees and the new joinees. The new joinees with same skillset/ qualification/ degree get higher pay scale. This demotivates the existing employees and the opt for a better opportunity. There must be some parity to retain the existing employees who are serving the organization since last 5/10 years or more.

Corruption is very less, salary available within next month, huge order booking in kolkata region.

Dislikes

Kolkata region is full of politics. No new tender. Almost all projects are under litigation and clients threating to issue LD. Very poor fund management at regional office.
