Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

They didn't pay me for months in between, where I had to borrow money from family. We were also told that this amount (a little less than 1L) would be remunerated later but later changed 'policy'. And nothing in the company happens on emails so it's easier for them to deny everything.

Dislikes

I experienced borderline racism cause I'm not a native and didn't speak telugu, even though every single employee there knew English and Hindi, but refused to communicate in it.
