There is no system. There is nothing called "upper management". Every decision is taken by the Directors of the company. Everyone has to abide by that decision, no matter how autocratic or dictatorial that decision may be. Everything revolves around the whims and fancies of the Directors. I was in the Legal Department for 3 and a half years. There was almost zero career growth. They hire freshers just so that they can squeeze out the most out of them in exchange for negligible remuneration. There is no HR Department. HR duties are performed by one of the Marketing Managers. Some months, I had to work the entire month, including Sundays. The concept of national holidays doesn't exist here.
