I like the atmosphere working around there in and out . Its like less pressure and huge work to do in no much time. People are good and cooperative. Always helpful and good place to work

RasGas company was a great company to serve, the experience of working with a number of nationalities and the management and supervisors were always trying to achieve excellence. they used new technology and experience to achieve global excellence in the markets. RasGas also looked at the nationals and how to expose them to gain competencies in a number of areas, coaching and training them to be new generation of Gas producers. this was not limited to the workforce RasGas took corporate social responsibilities serious and allow myself to take health and safety to the schools, introducing HSE to young students allowing them to gain basic qualification in safety at a young age, some of the students went on through the courses to gain internationally accredited certification in occupational health and safety before leaving school. this was all part of the legacy and part of the Qatar vision fro 2013.

the retirement age of 60, personally I'm still working in Qatar and wished that I could have continued to develop nationals

Likes

One gets full opportunity to express oneself personally and professionally in spite of challenges. The atmosphere is very friendly and there is no un necessary pressure by supervisors. I worked a contractor / consultan position so was not affected by the appraisal system.

Dislikes

Must say nothing much but these are difficult times for the oil & gas industry, so my best bet would be: dislike job insecurity.
