No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

- Competitive salary in the nearby region - Nice infrastructure with central AC in classrooms and faculty rooms - Cleanliness all around & good maintenance - Job security - Internet campus - On campus hostel facility for faculty member with mess at 3-4k - Good ERP portal - Increment policy is good

...ike printing coursefiles, etc... You have to buy & use your own A4 sheets....!! - Rs250-300 is deducted from salary every month in the name of staff welfare fund...But no one knows where this fund goes (This is central hr policy) - They never give you payslips until you give them a written request explaining why you need it. - Ultimately....it is in Kanpur....so we can't expect any good from Kanpuriyas!!
