I was fond of some of my peers; too bad most of them left the company within a month or two of joining. They hire good people with great academic records, but that is just to flaunt on their website and proposals (to win bids); they don't really value their work or achievements.

...attention-hog Senior Management is extremely rude and unsupportive of new hires. No training is provided; they just expect you to magically know how everything in their company works Toxic work culture, office politics, partial treatment, no proper time given for lunch Constant micromanagement by the founder and seniors Public belittling of staff (receptionist and office boy are holding on for dear life), no constructive criticism and personal remarks are very common No proper system for day-to-day work even after over 10 years of operations False urgencies and calling at odd hours No proper norms on notice period; even if you do everything right, they refuse to pay and release experience letter when you leave In short, if you choose to work here, there is a high chance you'll have to remove this experience from your resume because they try to harass you even after you leave and get hired elsewhere, as they deliberately sabotage your background checks.

To begin with, the founder doesn’t trust anyone she hires and micro-manages every mail that needs to go out and she will never leave an opportunity to be condescending, rude, mean, abusive to you. The organisation fails to build even a below average employ base even after 10 years of its existence. I think the senior management (which basically means 2 people) really need to self reflect rather than just shining their pretentious fake personalities on linkedin. Except literally 4 people and the founder there is barely anyone I found who was working in the organisation for more than 4 months. People just keep coming and going because no one can stand the abuse and trauma they go through. Ironically, the founder who works for a social impact firm doesn’t have any understanding of mental health. The organisation also believes in violating human rights left right and centre. Also, just a heads up all these positive reviews that you see on glassdoor are all fake they are staged by the communications team to make the organisation appear not that bad. There are literal discussions about adding up “glassdoor testimonials” Advice to Management Rather than adding up fake glassdoor testimonials maybe work on improving the work culture. Everything is worst here. They mentally harras the employee specially seniors and founder. They questions the employees capabilities and also abuse them while working.

Everything about the organisation. The HR is not at all competent. An office where 90% employees are working offline, should have a HR working from office. Also, she does not receive calls or replies to mails and does almost nothing throughout the day.

It is a data collection firm. Colleagues are fairly professional and friendly.

Dislikes

The organisation is run by a single person who is not very professional. The senior management as well as the owner do not have a sound and technical knowledge about research. The environment is extremely toxic. The owner often uses negative and harsh language to acknowledge employees work. No variable bonuses. No perks or any sort of reimbursement. The senior management is not sensitive to employee needs and requirements. There is no flexibility in work timings or schedule. One can hardly ever take a leave without getting negative comments from owner. In terms of learning and growth - the firm provides very limited learning scope since the management has only 5-6 years of experience themselves in doing the actual research work (desk review, tool development, data collection, analysis and report writing). They don't push employees towards learning new skills. Overall - not a good and positive place for an academic or M&E research based professional.
