Good company, worst work culture

Dislikes

Really bad work atmosphere, especially in IT people at higher positions are sexiest, racist and full of office politics. They literally have no knowledge of their own applications, micro manage and always eager to take credit of others, so no growth prospects for other employees. Not good work place for female employees.

Amazing organization with great work culture Topnotch, top driven HSE culture. World class manufacturing practices World class automation, independent automation system for process safety. Systems ( IMS, PMS, BBS, MRM, AAM ) are followed seriously - means its not just the paper game, systems are live over there. defined procedure for each and very thing - you have to follow the procedure, hence, responsibility, accountability is distributed which gives relief from unnecessary stress. Decentralized approach - which provides the cross functional exposure. e.g. Safety is responsibility of an individual, JSA/other safety activities are initiated by parent department and not the safety dept. Safety dept acts as a mentor. Second e.g., people from various dept are assigned some lead role in various frame work like PMS, BBS. Various corporate analysis tools for various function - for HR - SuccessFactors, for HSE and legal compliances - Enablon, for expanses - Concur. Strict adherence to legal requirements. Best company to learn safety systems and world class practices. List goes on...........

Dislikes

Employee is loaded excessively by the system work (IMS, PMS, BBS, HSE, MOC), rather than his core function. 60% system work, 40% core function work. Hence, an individual with core function interest (technical interest) may feel boring. Production department is dominating. Other departments like maintenance, logistic, HR is having lesser importance. This company is only for the good performers, pretenders can not survive.

was hired for a particular role and the same role was never assigned to me as they didnt want to transfer the role from Netherlands HO to India. was made to sit Idle for 5 months before they figured out a plan for me which was a terrible way to keep employee.
