Toxic nossy cultural, people keep interrupting in your scientific work and childish mentality of research work guide will make you to demotivated in your work. no inputs in scientific work from guide side.

Likes

The educational policy, such as a number of lectures, quality of content, peer support for getting feedback about teaching methodology, always keeps you committed to the oraginzation. The lab facility is also very good.

Dislikes

...limited options are available for the career advancement of the faculty members. Faculty members going for higher education have to pay a hefty amount of money as an immovable property/FD for a mortgage.

Likes

Competitive environment at nirma university is good for working. They has cancelled the contract before the date of expiration and has not yet released the salary.

Dislikes

Everything at Nirma is so stringent that the loopholes in system takes very long to be corrected. They show quality more on paper than the actual quality prevailing.

...erience to work in Nirma University over the period of 1.5 years is fairly good. Salary structure and honesty is the prime example. student education with descipline is good aspect. to be with highly learned faculty members is also unique experience to learn in the early career jobs.

Dislikes

Not Research oriented, too much admin formalities, frequent change in the rules and regulations based upon need.

Likes

If you want to work in education set up it is one of the better place (but not the best). As the university has grown it has defined rules and hierarchies. good brand in the state. Very good campus landscaping.

Dislikes

Top management is closed and not much accessible for communication. Very less proactive dialouge with employees. Not specific to university but academics in general have created caste system like hierachies which sometimes make you question your decision to choose academics as career and meritocracy. Nirma is no different. It does not offer past pace for growth to performers. I think employees are less empowered / motivated to take decisions may be because of lacking rewards.
