No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Salary promised was at par with industry standards.

Dislikes

There is no set system for induction or to introduce new employees to their work profiles. I started working from day 1 without any introduction or training. No clear communication and the CEO's wife is extremely rude who conducted my interview in the first call itself and offered me the position within the next 24 hours.

The management is worst. They do not have the minimum decency to treat their staff well. Demotivating and clueless people and employee retention ratio is 0.No job security and since there is no HR grievances are seldom settled. They can fire you anytime according to their will.
