Salary is below industry standards. Some tenured employees receive undeserved promotions. Work from home policy can be better.

Likes

1) Learning opportunities for a starter in this field - the process of work is a cycle that allows one to grasp difficult ideas like a complicated business model, reason behind a particular margin profile, moat status, etc. The sharing of 'tacit' knowledge by senior researchers is enviable. 2) Work-life balance is excellent. 3) The habit of book reading, knowledge sharing from articles, papers, etc. is an ongoing process at Multi-Act, again enviable. 4) Conversation style of senior researchers is peaceful and filled with patience. Though, everything has to be done by a certain time, they allow us some good time to ask questions before moving on from a project. 5) The team is composed of intelligent and hard working peeps. This makes it all the more exciting and be a conscientious about our own work. 6) It is interesting to see how the work has evolved, when using a file prepared in some previous year. This evolution gives a good idea of what is expected from us, when doing a research report. 7) Respectful and amiable culture. 8) It is Prashant's philosophy and the firms overarching belief in Austrian economics, which made me read and become interested in this.
