Incompetent Leadership, Small firm full of corrupted leaders & people. Dirty Corporate Politics, No Job Security. No Work Life Balance, Poor Working Culture, Lack of Diversity in Inclusion, No appreciation culture. Leadership is not solution oriented but blaming employees and pinpointing employees all the time. They force people to resign without giving valid reasons even if that employee has not done such big mistake which leads to this. Absolute No job security due to dirty corporate politics of incompetent leaders. Pathetic Awful. Unprofessional leadership & People. A company with lack of culture & ethics. Every year you will have leave balances left because they won’t take you even sick leaves and planned ones.

Work-life balance is one healthy feature and job security is another.

Dislikes

Compensation is average and growth is slow. Not a good place for skill development. Managers try to alter the direction of your career by introducing you to unnecessary skills in the name of T-shaped progress.

Decent compensation, benefits like free food, good work life balance

Dislikes

Compensation is decent with good work-life balance but there is lot of favoritism and ad-hoc decision making. Managers gives no value to senior technical person even when he is having more experience and expertise which creates a hostile work environment. Company has a flat hierarchy excluding managers. Overall a good company for managers and freshers.

To be brutally honest , there is nothing great about this company anymore.

Cost cutting is the theme for 2025 at Monotype. But this is also a limited to few teams. While hikes are promotions are put on back burner for some , few teams are sent to Goa for offsites. The funny part is HR is approving the same , who is asking managers to do cost cutting. Secret layoffs are rampant now , with people being asked to leave without any reasons. Promotions are given to undeserving a** lickers . The HR team is the most uncooperative of all teams. Only join if you have no other offer in hand and you want to just use this company to get a better offer.

Monotype is really a very very good organisation that I have worked with and I would surely recommend this company further to my friends.

Monotype is really a good organisation and one of the best company I have worked with. The only think I disliked was the immediate reporting management, below are few reasons that made the work environment toxic and impossible to work: 1. Lack of support: Manager never supported and never gave work flexibility even in exceptional cases. 2. Micromanagement: Used to keep pin pointing regarding every small thing( even though no deadlines were missed), that a manager should not even care about. 3. Favoritism: Used to favour people who butters him up 4. Lack of recognition: Manager never recognised or appreciated for good work even though I received many appreciations form clients 5. Impact on Mental Health: This is one of the major reasons of my resignation, never got any flexibility/ support wrt work. These are the things that should be really worked on in order to make Monotype a better workplace.
