Micro management in Gujarat location, nothing is good, as management people are not good at all.

Dislikes

Sr.HRBP, he is very bad and doing retaliation, micro management, no of reporting dotted line is also not good, instead of 1 reporting, have to report more than 1 reporting manager

Free cab and food. That’s what I liked. Nothing else.

Dislikes

No hikes and promotions for 2022 and 2023 and also 10% layoff announced for 2023. Hikes are also very less like service based. Nothing good to learn in data engineering or data science projects. No flexible too. You can’t take more than 2 casual leaves in a row. Earlier it used to be good. Now since the company is not doing good, it want its employees to go on their own and hence making worst decisions like said above on leave policy which is recently changed in Dec 2022. I won’t recommend to anyone.

Micron is Avery very employee friendly company. This is the best company that i have seen so far. Micron's Health Insurance benefits are the best in the market currently. Thier insurance coverage is almost upto 10 lacs -15 lacs. Goodies and gifts are always there in Micron.

Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?

I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?
