New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

If I have to mention one, Its only the salary what you get every month.

Dislikes

Worst company to work. They have "hire and fire" policy. They give the candidate assurance for job security but can fire anytime. Bad infrastructure, no perks, no allowances, worst HR policies and leave policies, alternate Saturday working (including the fifth Saturday). Workflow is not streamlined. Typical old age mindset of the management. WhatsApp is used for all official communication by creating various groups.

Dislikes

One of the worst companies when it comes to work culture. There is one lady "JP" who was kicked out of her previous organisations for the same notorious behaviour that she shows here - convinces the boss to fire people according to her whims and fancies! This company would have definitely been a great place to work, as some managers were wonderful. But this one particular lady does not let anyone survive at this organisation - not even the seniors. The worst part is, the boss believes each and every lie of hers. Hope they learn from their mistake soon.
