No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

The co-employees in that institution are very good, they will treat others as their family members, they help each other in their works, they conduct many programmes to educate their students also they conduct cultural, sports and other activities. the employees(trainers) work to their best to educate their students.

Dislikes

The management of that institution is not up to mark, they don't treat their trainers well, there is no proper salary scale, starting salary is 13,000 Rs with the annual increment of just 300 Rs which is not up to the standard of living in a city like Bengaluru. Even in that kind of situation the management expect high results from the trainers, the classrooms are not equipped with modern methods of teaching and are not hygienic, they spend much money to conduct programs and others unnecessary celebrations, instead of that they could use some money to buy new chairs and benches for the students to sit in classrooms, as some benches chairs are old and some are broken, when we enter a classroom it feels like entering into an old godown.
