No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

...e issues. However, I dont hold any grudge against the organisation. Its economy. Would I work there if they didnt pay my salary on-time?So, they sacked me when I couldnt perform. Its give and take. Based on the reviews it seems that the deterioration in conditions which were visible in later half of 2007, continued with tremendous negative effect. Anyways, the period between December 06 to August 07 was the best period of my service life. I am no longer a service holder. I am a businessman nowdays

There is a great handicap for sales people. This company does an unique work. I mean, no other company does this type of work. So, if you leave this job/ get sacked, you have to look for a different type of job in different field. The experience in this job will NOT count. You will be considered as a fresher once you leave this organisation. As said earlier, people were getting sacked for reasons other than performance, but that started from August 07. Besides these there was no reason to dislike. Office closed at 6 PM, salary was timely and 2nd Saturday was off. Office started at 9 30 AM. I came to office after 10AM. Nobody scolded me. To job seekers- please follow latest reviews while taking a decision.

Very bad company.. no company structure.. they don't give salary at time but hold for long time. There is one cranky owner who live with her dogs.. she is illiterate old lady.. please don't work with this company at all ... They will mKe your life hell.. bad company

I worked there for 3 to 4 month , it’s a small company with some magazine products . Along with this it organise a pet function also , colleague were good , environment was little scary & silant all the time , for training there is nothing they just hire & start taking work from the very first day .

Work-life balance - Excellent

Dislikes

No job security , scary environment, No training , No vision what to do & why to do , no guidance
